Obituary of Garnet William Daigle

With deep sadness, the family of Garnet William Daigle announce his sudden passing on February 12, 2025, at his home in Fredericton, NB.

Born in August 1965, he was the son of the late Lorna Caissie.

Garnet absolutely cherished his children and grandchildren—they were the brightest part of his life. A true outdoorsman, he had a passion for hunting, fishing, and everything nature had to offer. His love for animals knew no bounds, sharing his home with pets ranging from dogs and ferrets to even tarantulas. He was a devoted father with a great sense of humor, always up for a laugh and a good time. And when he wasn’t enjoying the great outdoors, you could probably find him at a concert, soaking in the music he loved.

In addition to his parents, Garnet was predeceased by an infant twin brother and the love of his life, Misty Sypher.

Garnet will be missed by his daughters, Morgan Daigle (Ray) and Courtney Sypher; grandchildren, Kcee, Jase, Cali and Liam; stepfather, Bob Caissie (Dale); stepsister, Lori Caissie-Simms (Chris)several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

A memorial service will take place at 6:00PM Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, at the Minto Community Chapel (Hogg Funeral Services 10 King Street, Minto), with tea, coffee and a time to gather immediately following.

For those who would like to donate in memory of Garnet, his family kindly requests contributions be made to any charity of one’s choice.

Garnet’s family would like to give a special thank you to Jessica Donovan, Dara Rector and the 12 neighbours community for all the love, support and kindness they have shown.

"Even those who lose themselves in darkness once carried light. Remember them not for the fire that burned, but for the warmth they once gave."
