Obituary of Valmont Joseph LaBeurque
The death of Valmont (Val) LaBeurque of Minto, NB occurred Monday, May 26th, 2025 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital.
Pepere spent many years working on cars, reinventing his own version of cars by using parts of any car that was lying around. He was known for his beautiful paint jobs on many cars that he’s done over the years.
If he wasn’t in the shop working on cars you could find him in his woodworking shop building something beautiful that you’d ever be able to buy in the stores.
Pepere had many animals over the years, including a farm. When you saw Pepere, you were guaranteed to see his dog, Selena next to him or not far behind.
He loved to hunt and looked forward to the guy’s annual hunting trip, where lots of laughs, stories were told and quarters lost.
He loved his family deeply and was so proud to be a grandfather and great grandfather.

Born in Campbellton, NB he was the son of the late Delima LaBeurque. Survived by son, Eric LaBeurque (Susan); step-son, Emery Gauthier (Ellen); grandsons, Roger (Sonja) and Cory (Brandi); step grandson, Edward Gauthier, step-granddaughter, Angie Main; great grandsons, Alex, Andy, Jayce and Lucas; great granddaughters Victoria (Colton), Katherine and Amelia; special friend, Vesta Bailey; his K9 buddy, Selena; several nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto, NB) with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 3:00PM Friday, May 30th, 2025 from Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Saint Bridget’s Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to the Oromocto SPCA or donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
