Obituary of Rebecca Lynn Haynes
In Loving Memory of Rebecca Lynn Haynes May 30, 1955 - May 30, 2025 It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Rebecca Lynn Haynes, on Friday, May 30th, 2025 - her 70th birthday.
Rebecca left us peacefully in her sleep after spending a beautiful day surrounded by the people and simple joys she loved most. That day was a reflection of the life she lived: filled with love, family, laughter, and sunshine. She spent the morning visiting the garden center, carefully selecting flowers to plant with her grandchildren, chatting happily about her deep pride in her children, and the immeasurable joy her grandkids brought to her life. She spoke tenderly of her husband, Gordon, the love of her life, and the incredible bond they shared over the years. Later that afternoon, with her favorite music playing, Rebecca gardened with her grandkids, savoring every moment. She even enjoyed a ride on the Harley with Al – a perfect touch of adventure on her special day - before gathering with her family for pizza and ice cream cake to celebrate her 70th birthday. That evening, with hearts full and memories made, we said goodnight to our beautiful mom for the last time. Rebecca's heart was as generous as her smile, and her life was a testament to the power of love, family, and simple pleasures.
She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family that will carry her spirit forward. Rebecca has now been reunited with her beloved father, Rusty, her mother, Mary, and her brother, John - a comforting thought for those who loved her most. She is survived by her devoted husband Gordon, her brother Donnie, and sister Gail. She was a proud and loving mother to Christopher (Natalie), Katie, Charles (Amanda), Alexander (Elizabeth), William, and Mary Grace (Steven), and stepmother to Cindy and Pam (Brent). She was the adoring nanny to her treasured grandchildren: Hannah, Emily, Alex, Isaac, Mathew, Rachel, George, Finlay, Archie, Victoria, Lochie, Novah, Adaline, and Gordon. They were her pride and joy, and she spoke of them often with boundless love.
Rebecca touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit. While our hearts ache with her passing, we are endlessly grateful for the time we had, the lessons she taught us, and the love she so freely gave. We love you so much, Nanny Becky. Same sky - always.
