Obituary of Tammy Lynn (Coakley) Garrity
Our hearts are heavy to announce the passing of Tammy Lynn (Coakley) Garrity of Maugerville, NB, wife of Raymond Alan Garrity, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on July 12, 1967 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Kaye Eugene and Marion Joyce (Randall) Coakley.
In addition to her loving husband, Tammy is survived by her siblings, Bonita Hutchins, Wanda Bauer (Larry), Suzanne Theriault and Marlon Coakley (Lynn); her nieces and nephews, Nicole, Jordyn, Molly, Alex, Zach, Emily, Dylan, and Victoria; her special Furr Baby, Huxley.
Tammy’s vibrant personality was a light in every room she entered — a true people person who never met a stranger. With an open heart and a carefree spirit, she made friends effortlessly and left lasting impressions wherever she went. She was multi-coloured, multi-faceted, bright as the sun, and sharp as a tack. Her kindness was endless, her generosity quiet but powerful, and she never sought recognition for the good she did.
To know Tammy was to know her deep love for dogs. An animal lover at heart, she shared a special bond with them — and they seemed to sense just how extraordinary she was. Her dogs were constant companions, especially on her long drives, riding shotgun with the music turned up, always ready to chase the next adventure together.
Tammy lived life fully with a rebellious spirit that carried her through her health challenges she faced for nearly two decades. She fought hard and her strength, grace, and resilience was inspiring to everyone around her.
In the end, she came out the winner — finding eternal life, peace, and the perfect everlasting health she so deserved.
Tammy’s legacy is one of love, laughter, loyalty, spirit and unshakable faith. She shines bright like a diamond from the inside and we will be looking to the heavens above to see her light. She will be missed beyond words and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A heartfelt thanks to the exceptional staff on 4NW, who not only provided Tammy with outstanding care, but also filled her days with spirited conversations, warmth, and the kind of spicy banters she truly enjoyed.
The family welcomes everyone to a gathering prior to Tammy’s Celebration of Life on Friday, June 13, 2025 at the Christian Community Church, 819 Pleasant Drive, Minto, NB at 12:30 pm with the service beginning at 2 pm with Pastor Ron Austin officiating.
