Obituary of Nellie Mae Egers - Barton
The death of Nellie Mae Egers – Barton of Minto occurred Sunday, June 15, 2025 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB.
Born in Minto, she was the daughter of Clemo and Florence (Spencer) McKiel.
A lifelong resident of Minto, she was employed with the school board as a custodian at both the elementary and the High school until her retirement.
Nellie Mae is survived by her lifelong friend, Angus Mills (Gus); her 2 sons, John Egers (Leigh – Ann) and Dale Egers (Tammy) all of Minto; her grandchildren, Jason Egers, Madison Egers and Dillon Harrison; her great grandchildren, Kara Harrison, Brantley Harrison and Abel Harrison; step daughters, Sandra James and Shelley Spencer; her brother John McKiel (Elizabeth) of Hardwood Ridge as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Gary Egers, her second husband, Clarence Barton; her daughter, Anne Marie; brothers, Leonard, Junior, Angus, Gary Lee and by sisters, Mildren Fulton and Lena Woods.
A funeral service will be celebrated 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 24th, 2025 from the United Baptist Church of Minto with interment at the United Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
