Obituary of Simon Joseph Adelon Daigle
It is with great sadness that the family of Simon Joseph Adelon Daigle of Albright’s Corner, NB, announces his peaceful passing on June 18, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born in Minto, NB, on June 13, 1943, Simon was the son of the late Alexander and Cecile (LeBlanc) Daigle. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Armand, Ovila, and Edmund, and his sister Elda.
Simon is survived by his loving wife, Eva; his children, Donna, Michael (Anke), and Bob (Lisa); grandchildren Matthew and Chris; step-grandchildren Jessie, Jena, and Jaden; and great-grandchildren Delilah, Lorelei, Jaxon and Liam. He will also be deeply missed by his brothers Leon and Henry, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and cherished friends.
Simon had a deep love for music and was rarely seen without a guitar in hand. His joyful spirit, quick wit, and endless jokes brought laughter wherever he went. He lived a life filled with kindness, humour, and heart, a legacy that will live on in those who loved him.
Visitation will be held at Hogg Funeral & Cremation Services (10 King Street, Minto) on Monday, June 23rd, 2025 from 2–4 PM and 6–8 PM. Funeral Service will take place on 2:00PM Tuesday, June 24th, 2025 at the Minto Community Chapel (Hogg Funeral Services 10 King Street, Minto). Interment will take place in St. Bridget’s Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB. A reception will follow the funeral at the Minto Senior’s Hall (11 O’Leary Lane, Minto)
