Obituary of Sheila Faye Barton (Galbraith)
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sheila Faye Barton (nee Galbraith) announces her peaceful passing which occurred just two days shy of her 72nd birthday on July 14th, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Born July 16th, 1953, Sheila was the daughter of the late Jack and Marion (nee Foss) Galbraith.
She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted partner of 15 years, Van Mills; her children, Nicholas (Shelley) Barton and Shauna (Dillon) Barton; brothers Ernie (Doris) Galbraith, Jackie (Anne) Galbraith, and Kevin (Tannia) Galbraith; sisters, Carol Hutchison, Wanda (Ernie) Galbraith, Violet (George) McInnis, Ivy (William) McInnis, and Angie (John) MacQuarrie; grandchildren, Kristen, Kristopher, Mitchell, Connor, Emma, and Anthony. Along with many greatgrandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers David and Terry Galbraith
Sheila wished to extend her heartfelt appreciation to her partner Van. She had a never-ending love and appreciation for Van and the care, compassion and strength he showed to her over the last three and a half years of her illness.
Arrangements are entrusted to the loving care of Hogg Funeral & Cremation Services, 10 King Street, Minto, New Brunswick. As per Sheila’s wishes,there will be no visitation with interment taking place on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Redbank Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made in Sheila’s memory to Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
