I have always loved Rick... ever since he stole the love of my life, Debbie. It was easy to see how their two lives melded into one, and how they were a perfect pair. That is a tremendous loss for the family, but we are designed by God to eventually overcome our grief.... somehow. I have a picture of my Grade 6 Photo Club, sent to me by David Nightingale a number of years ago. Rick still looks the same. I'm so sorry that Rick is gone away.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Rick's passing. He truly brought a special energy to our group meetings during my time at NRC. I was a colleague of Ricks at NRC/ IRAP. He was a wonderful person to work with! Professional, smart and hard working. He was also fun, kind and generous to a fault. I'm so sorry to hear about Rick’s passing. I first met him when I joined IRAP back in 1998 and we worked closely together until he retired. He was not only a dedicated colleague, but also someone I truly respected and enjoyed working with. His name still comes up often—he made a lasting impact with his kindness, commitment, and the way he supported both clients and colleagues across the Atlantic region. He's been missed every single day. I will forever remember Rick as “my Buddy.” He was a truly special person, and I feel lucky to have known and worked with him. Dear Debbie and family, so very sorry to hear of Ricks passing, he was truly “one of a kind”. I worked with Rick for many years at RPC, IRAP. He was always great to work with, professional, had a great sense of humour and always had time to chat with anyone! Our small department had many family get togethers - those cross country ski parties, lobster and potlucks and of course pool parties. Rick will truly be missed by everyone who knew him. Hugs
