The death of Geertruda ” Theresa” Henrica Arts of Scarborough,
occurred on Aug 18, 2025 at the Michael Garron Hospital, Toronto

Born in Holland, on June 17,1929. She was the daughter of the late
Antoon and Henrica (Hendriks) Daamen.
Theresa is survived by her daughter Anne-Marie Fanjoy in Scarborough;
brothers; Corrie (Annette), Gerrit (Sheryl), Henry (Blanche), Joe (Dody);
sister-in-law, Marion as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins
In addition to her parents Geertruda “Theresa” was predeceased by her
loving husband, Hendriekes “Harry” Arts; brothers, Cornelius “Koos” Daamen,
Theodore Daamen, Martin Daamen; sisters, Henrica “Ricky” VanDoren (Tony),
Netta Brown (Alvin), Martina Steele (Ralph), Christina Bosse (John), Annie Daamen;
nephews, Hank Daamen, Michael Daamen and Harry VanDoren.
Resting at Hogg Funeral & Cremation Services (10 King Street, Minto, NB) where
the family will recieve visitors on Sunday from 2 - 4. A Mass will be celebrated
11:00 AM, Monday, September 1st, 2025 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Minto with
burial to follow in St. Bridget's Catholic Cemetery.
