So sorry to hear of Henry's passing. All the time he had his greenhouse I always helped him get his flowers from the nursery. I can't tell you how many years that has been, but many. Always kind and thoughtful. I always HAD to make sure that he got his purple wave petunias, because nothing else would do. Blanche my heart goes out to you. I am glad he can be with Hank again.
I will think of him often as I go through the greenhouses in the spring.

Our condolences to the entire Daamen family. Henry was a pillar of the community and served the community for many years. As an RCMP member I worked alongside Henry for many years and will always be grateful to him and Blanche for taking us under his wing to offer his wisdom and guidance. He will truly be missed by never forgotten.

My deepest sympathy to Blanche and family. Henry was always a kind, caring friend. Las t time I saw him was at Tim Horton's in Minto , when I stopped for lunch; hadn't seen him in years, but in no time , we were talking like old friends who had just seen each other recently. Such a lovely man and one very good ambulance driver. I have a lot of good memories of him and Mary Lou coming to ER at DECH with patients; you could always depend that what Henry said they were bringing in was right and everything that could be done was done, correctly. He will be missed.

To Blanch, Anna Marie, Leah and families and the Daamen families
Our sincere condolences. So many memories with this family and Henry’s sister Ricky’s family, the Van Doren’s. Our Stilwell family grew up on the Hill next to the Van Doren’s and between Henry and Ricky’s families at Whur’s Beach. So many memories that it felt like we were related. Too many memories to name. Had the pleasure of knowing all of the Daamen siblings and Mr. And Mrs. Daamen. Great families. I remember Henry working long hours in his flower shop, then dropping everything to take an emergency call with his ambulance service. Henry gave so much for the good of his community. The ambulance service is an extremely difficult service to provide but he had compassion so he always stepped up, and he and Blanche, a nurse, made a great dedicated team. Remembering all the trips to Fredericton in his wagon with Mom and dad, heading to Kentucky Fried Chicken on Sundays, Us kids in the back, Hank, Anna Marie, Jocey and I. It was worth it for the treat! And my introduction to Johnny Cash and Charlie Pride on 8-tracks over and over. I smile when I hear these songs now. And Rod was introduced to the families as we started dating and we continued to hang out with Daamen families. It’s comforting to know Henry, you’re reunited with your Daamen family above and your best friend Hank. Say Hi to mom and dad.

No words can describe th loss of such a selfless person. Many people still walk this earth because of Henry.

This guy will be surely.missed by all who knew him I loved him dearly.We grew up next door to Henry , we were not just neighbors he was part of our family .our brother Darrell lived and worked along side of Henry for years I also worked for him in my younger years babysitting Anne Marie and Hanky .While there I learned about the Floral Industry which I used over the years .
