It is with profound sadness that we are forced to announce the loss of Roseanna Gallant (McNeil Farquharson).

Rose Gallant entered the world on November 3rd, 1976 in Calgary, Alberta, with a spirit that defied circumstance. Life took her on many paths, but through it allshe brought light, laughter, and love to all of us who had the privilege to know her.

She left us suddenly on Saturday, September 27th at the Doctor Everett Chalmerrs Hospital. Her life was a tapestry woven with resilience, compassion, and fierce devotion to her family.

She was a devoted wife to Shawn, and a proud, loving mother to Brandon (Cassandra) and Ashly (Mickey)—her greatest joys and proudest accomplishments.

Rose is survived by her loving parents Peter and Ella (McNeil) Farquharson, parents-in-law Paul and Ellen Gallant, aunt Christena (Ron), dear cousins Lee and Brenda. She is also survived by her Pops, Duane Magnuson (Rhonda), siblings Chelsey, Devon, and Michael, as well as special friends Daphine and Jolene, many chosen children to whom she was known as "Mama Rose", and too many cherished cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends to possibly name.

Rose had a way of making people feel seen and heard, of turning ordinary moments into memories that will last a lifetime. Her laughter was contagious, her hugs healing, and her presence unforgettable.

Though her time with us was far too short, her impact was immeasurable. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and connection—a reminder that family is not just who we are born to, but who we choose to hold close.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the first responders who took care of her in her last moments, including cousin Hannah Molnar, as well as Melody and the rest of the nurses at Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital for all of your compassion and care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations towards a memorial tree and plaque in Rose's honor, to be placed in a park in the spring, where she can hear children laugh and play.

Visitation will take place at Hogg Funeral Services in Minto on Tuesday, October 7th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hogg Funeral Services on Wednesday, October 8th at 3pm.
