Sophie was such a wonderful kind person. I knew Sophie & Max for several years when my family spent time with my in-laws Alice & Emile Richard. We attended many events with them ( dances at the Catholic hall and good old kitchen parties at their house.My children ,Jebb,Joel & Laura Richard remember them fondly.Sophie always sent Christmas cards asking about them and I sent her updates.
To her children, Roger , Marcel ,Claire & Rose-Marie my heartfelt condolences, your Mom was a truly an amazing woman.

So sorry to loose my last Hill mother. Sophie and Max were very special to me and my heart holds a mutitude of wonderful memories. Always a highlight on my annual trip home was a visit with your parents. I usually became the brunt of one of Max's jokes and cherished Sophie's hugs. Of course I usually left with a treat of some kind. Deb and my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. Love you Sophie!

My condolences to Maurice, Marcel and all who will miss Mme Richard. Her late husband Max is someone I remember well from my days at Holy Rosary. He always had a way of making us students laugh and spoke proudly of Sophie and their children.

Dear Richard Family,
Laurie and I first met Sophie in 1974 when we returned to Minto. I can't mention her without including her life partner Maxime. We'll always remember them as two of our favourite people. They treated Laurie and I like family. In time we had the privilege of meeting their wonederful family. They too, were/are the people others would want in their lives. As a mom, grandmother etc, Sophie taught everyone she met what kindness and love means.
While it was her time to pass on and be with Max, we can find peace in knowing we've met one of God's chosen people who left behind a great legacy of love and laughter.
