Obituary of Claude Walker

The death of Claude Walker of Chipman, NB occurred Tuesday, April 23, 2024 the Chalmers Regional Hospital.

Born in Drummond, NB on March 1, 1934 he was the son of the late René and Eva Côté.

Claude was employed at J D Irving Mill for 43 years, 25 of those years along side his wife Colette.  he was the first shift foreman at the mill, he was a great conversationalist and enjoyed many talks with anyone that would listen to his great stories; he was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rdth degree, enjoyed bowling and loved to travel with his wife in their later years.

Survived by a son, Steven Walker; daughters, Monique Noftell, Patsy Ganskow, Dyann Chase (Dale) and Nancy Brown (Randy); grandchildren, Jennifer Fanjoy, John Wayne Kirby, Krystyn Brown and Natasha Brown; brother, John Walker (Bernadette); sister, Dorina Dixon; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Claude was predeceased by his wife, Colette Walker in 2022; brother, Orphy; sisters, Sandra and Edwina.

Resting at Hogg Funeral & Cremation Services (10 King St. Minto, NB) on Thursday from 2-5pm. Funeral Service will take place 11:00AM Friday, April 26, 2024 from Minto Community Chapel. Interment will take place in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Chipman, NB. For those who wish, donations made to Saint Joseph’s Cemetery would be greatly appreciated by the family.
