Adrien Moulton

Obituary of Adrien Moulton

In loving memory of our father Adrien “John” Moulton aka “Gigi” of Noonan NB, born May 21st 1940 in Sydney Mines Cape Breton who passed away peacefully February 23, 2017 at the DECH. John is survived by sons Michael (Julie), Mark (Tracey), and Trevor (Maghan); brother Bobby (Elaine), sister Mary (Eddie), sister Diane, Mother of his children Betty Ann King (Gary) and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren; and finally, the “fur babies”. We need to add here his very small circle of friends Jack, Kevin and the rest of the Union St. Tim Hortons gang. He could be found there most every day sitting in his van enjoying a coffee and a dozen cigarettes happily ”shooting the shit”. John is predeceased by his father Randall, mother Ethel Walsh(“Mae̶1;) and stepfather Danny Brown; and his beloved dog “Princess”. John was a quiet, pleasant and very polite man known for hard work and dedication, who worked as a Long-Haul Truck Driver for United Van Lines (McMinniman’s Transfer) for almost 40years. He was known to work us boys as hard as anyone else when we travelled the country with him and taught us that hard work was a way of life and a necessity. He strongly valued respect, manners, pride and taught us to be “good people”. We are the men today that he groomed us to be in his own way. We would like to extend our thanks to the DECH Horizon Health Staff in ER and 4SE who provided amazing care and support for our family. For those who wish, donations to the SPCA would be greatly appreciated by the family. There will be no funeral service at John’s request.
