Obituary of Joseph Amede Daigle

The death of Joseph Amede Daigle of Minto, NB occurred peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday July 26, 2017 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers hospital in Fredericton, NB. Born in Pointe Sapin, NB, he was the son of the late Patrick and Anna Daigle. Survived by his loving wife, Dorothy (Cogswell) Daigle; Sons: Danny Daigle (Kim) of Brockville, ONT and Jeffrey Tibbo of Minto, NB. Daughters: Debbie Caissie (Richard) of Minto, NB, Gale Daigle (Andrew) of Fredericton, NB and Stacey Arsenault (Lyndon) of Minto, NB. His greatest joy, his Grandchildren: Daniel, Justin (Sakura), Amanda (Ward), Matthew (Danielle), Kyle (Jennifer), Isabella (Colby), Brooklyn (Sheldon), and Sophia. Great Grandchildren: Willam, Sean, Quinn, Chase, and Lexi. Special Companions: Gwen, Angel, Joey, Jersey, Karma, Tommy, Jerry Sister in Laws: Margaret Vautor of Minto, NB and Carol McLellan (Joe) of Ft. McMurray, AB and Daughter in Law, Gayle Daigle of Brockville, ONT. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his parents: Patrick and Anna Daigle, Brothers Tony, Ernest, and Leo. Joe loved fishing, hunting, working in the woods. He was a jack of all trades throughtout his life from a carpenter, mowing lawns, bridge builder, manager of the Holy Rosary Bowling Alley, potato, tobacco, strawberry picker, taxi and bus driver, cook, plumber and mechanic. His greatest joy was his family, his love for them shined through his eyes when he would talk about them. Loved his lobster and clams, his annual trips to the shore camping on the beach, cooking up a big feed. He enjoyed travelling and took many trips across Canada and the US. Joe will be missed greatly and fondly for his storytelling, strong Faith, wit, quiet sense of humor, great cooking skills (especially tea and rabbit pies). Most of all his compassion and caring for others. Me Three - Papa Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto) with visiting on Friday, August 4rd from 2 – 4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will take place 2:00PM Saturday, August 5th, 2017 from Saint Michael and All Angels Anglican Church. For those who wish, donations made to a living memorial in Joe's memory would be appreciated by the family.
