Obituary of Ruth Eliza Casey

It is with great sadness that the family of Ruth Eliza Casey (Doumont) of Minto, NB announce her passing on March 16th, 2018 at the age of 87 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Minto, NB she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Phebe (Rankin) Doumont. Ruth is survived by her daughter Wanda Wilson (Junior Miller) of Minto, NB as well as sons Randy Casey (Wendy) of Rusagonis, NB and Philip Casey of Hamilton, ON, son-in-law Brian Bell of Ripples, NB and special friend Clarence Gauthier of Minto, NB. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as two sisters, Mary Ellen Molnar of Burlington, ON and Bonita Melanson of Mississauga, ON. In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Casey, her daughter Ruthann Bell and an infant son Robert. She was also predeceased by a brother, Robert Doumont and sisters, Dorothy Barton, Florence Pleadwell, Louise West and Alice Petch. In honor of Ruth’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be held in Saint Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
