Obituary of Alyre Joseph Gauthier

The death of Alyre J. Gauthier of Minto, NB occurred Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Minto, NB October 10, 1932 he was the son of the late Benjamin and Melena (Gautreau) Gauthier. Alyre was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survived by son, Ralph Barton (Nancy); daughters, Irene Marie Barton and Christina Mae Morton; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; special daughter in law, Nellie Mae Barton; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Alyre was predeceased by his wife, Nora (Cormier) Gauthier; son, Clarence Barton; brothers, Benjamin, Ernest, Gerald and Fidele; sisters, Gladys Guislain, Noella Belliveau, Jean Anderson and Edith Doiron; special niece, Elaine Parent; son in law, Gary Morton. Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto) with visiting Thursday evening 4-7pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00AM Friday, September 21, 2018 from Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Saint Bridget’s Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB. For those who wish, donations made to the MEMS Breakfast Program would be appreciated by the family.
