Obituary of Anne Elinor McLellan

Anne Elinor McLellan It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of their special Angel, Anne Elinor McLellan (Darrah) at Hospice House on October 10th, 2018. Born March 9th, 1929 in Midland, NB, she was the daughter of Wesley and Greta Darrah. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Holly, her stepfather, Howard Boyd and her sister, Lorraine Pugh. Survived by her daughter, Sheila Tissington (Terry Way), grandson, Brad Tissington (Carol), granddaughter, Holly Anne Tissington (Jason Richard), great grandson, Carson Richard, dear friend and her darling, Ron, as well as several nieces, nephews and many cousins. Anne was a social butterfly and had a warm and inviting home. She loved family get togethers and keeping in touch with friends. She loved to travel with her Eastern Star sisters and brothers across the province. She was known for her infectious smile and warm hugs. Last but not least, Mom treasured her church family and was devoted to her Christian faith. Anne was a strong and vibrant woman, facing any adversities with a fighting spirit. She always saw the sunnyside of everyone and everything. She has indeed left us with a “Legacy of Love”. Special thanks to the Minto Services for Seniors, Meals on Wheels, Staff and Volunteers of Hospice House and the many friends and neighbours who constantly supported and prayed for Mom. We are forever grateful. Resting at Hogg Funeral and Cremation Services (10 King Street, Minto, NB) with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at the United Baptist Church of Minto. In lieu of flowers, donations to the United Baptist Church of Minto, Hospice House Fredericton or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
