Obituary of Andrew Dale Nicklin
The Death of Andrew Dale Nicklin of Pondstream, NB occurred Monday August 26, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.
Born in Morden Manitoba, he was the Son of the Late Helgi (Bill) and Freida (Buelow) Nicklin.
Dale spent many years in the armed forces where he earned the United Nations Emergency Force Medal, the Centennial Medal and Canadian Decoration. After retirement from the military he continued working and ended his career as a Duty Sherriff for the Fredericton area.
He was the Past Master of the Masonic Lodge, Alexandria 33 and a Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Devon Chapter. He also sat on the executive boards for many organizations.
Dale was predeceased by his wife, Carine Nicklin, of 57 years. He is survived by three sons; Shane ( Anne) of Edmonton, Scott of Edmonton, Kevin (Marcia) of Pondstream, NB. Seven grand children and 2 great grand children. Three sisters Joyce (James) Buhr, Donna (Bud) Barkley, Wilma (Bill) Lyall and one brother Wally (Shirley) Nicklin all of Manitoba.
Funeral Service will be held at 3pm on Thursday, August 29th at the Masonic Hall at 60 Queen Street, Minto. The family would appreciate donations made to the Minto Elementary Toast Program or charity of your choice.
