Obituary of Loretta Marie Arsenault
Loretta Arsenault (nee Bourgeois) age 93 died peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at her home in Minto.
She was born March, 27, 1928 in Minto to Leonie (Richard) and Joseph Bourgeois.
Loretta is survived by her sons Jerry Bourgeois, Donald Arsenault (Kathy), Robert Arsenault, daughters Claudette Fulton (Walter), Cathy Mansfield, Giselle McLellan (Barry), sisters Alma Belliveau and Doris Bourgeois, 17 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, 16 Great-great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Fidele, infant daughter Linda, daughter Pauline Fasquel, daughters-in-law, Flora Arsenault and Cammie Bourgeois, son-in-law Freeman Mansfield, sister Rita Gaudet and brothers, Leon, William and Norman.
Loretta will be remembered for her dedication to her family, church and her community. She received the United Nations Association of Canada Appreciation Award in recognition of her volunteer work in our Village of Minto and also received the Dollard Medal for her volunteerism and activism in the church.
A private service will take place from Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Saint Bridget’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
