Obituary of Margaret C. Colwell

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Margaret C. Colwell of Minto, NB announces her passing on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the W. G. Bishop Nursing Home.

Born in Minto, NB she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ella (Spenser) Madore.

Mom enjoyed the simpler things in life, walking every morning, cooking, camping, snowshoeing and was a very devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.

Survived by sons, Randy (Louise) and Jim (Belinda); daughters, Janice Scribner (Larry) and Sandra Kowalski (Garry); chosen daughters, Kim and Sue; great friend, Doreen; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Stella McCourt; brother, Richard Madore (Linda); several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by husband C. Gordon Colwell in 2018; brothers, Calvin, Chester, Harry, Harold and an infant brother Jimmy; sisters, Ruby Hoyt, Janita Richardson and Helen McLellan.

The family would like to thank the staff and the great team at the W. G. Bishop Nursing Home for mom’s great care over the years.

A private graveside service will take place in Wallbridge Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
