Obituary of Hupert Allan Doherty

The death of Hupert Allan Doherty of Saint John, NB formerly of Chipman, NB occurred Sunday, May 15, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital, Saint John, NB.

Born in Coal Creek, NB he was the son of the late Everett and Lillian (Barton) Doherty.

Hupert was a proud member of the RCAF from 1963-1987 retiring as a M/CPL. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and a friend to many.

Survived by a sister, Muriel Marr (Roy) of Rothesay, NB; a friend, Geraldine Shirley; 2 nephews, Darren Marr (Becka) and Brent Marr; great nieces, Caitlyn, Ali and Ava; nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Hupert was predeceased by a brother Rae E. Doherty.

Special thanks to staff of Liberty Lane Ridgewood Veterans Wing for taking care of Hupert for over four years.

A graveside service will take place in Redbank United Church Cemetery on Thursday, May 19^th, 2022 at 4:00PM. For those who wish, donations made to the Chipman United Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
