Obituary of Marie Ramona Gautreau

Ramona Gautreau, 90, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2022. Born September 6, 1931 in Saint Leonard, NB she was the daughter of late Thomas and Florine (Poirier) Lapointe. Ramona was also the loving wife of 66 years to the late William Gautreau.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Denise Molnar and brothers, Lionel, Roland and Arthur Lapointe.

Mona is survived by her sons, Jerry Gautreau of Minto NB, Bill (Shelley) Gautreau of Ontario; her daughter, Diane (Bernie) Hurley of Maugerville NB.

Known fondly as nana, she also leaves behind her sister, Velma (Lapointe) Richard of Minto. Grandchildren, John Molnar, Damian Hurley, Debra Gautreau (Cody), Taylor Hurley (Braden) and Jarid Gautreau, as well as two great granddaughter Audrey Ann and Emmett of Alberta, she was also looking forward to meeting another new great grandchild in January 2023.

Ramona had several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as several cousins, that she dearly loved and will sadly miss her.

Per her wishes there will be no visitation or service. For those who wish to remember Ramona in a special way, please donate a gift to the W G Bishop Nursing Home in Minto or volunteer in memory of her.

Ramona was a beautiful mother and grandmother who loved deeply and made everyone feel welcomed and at home regardless of who you were. She was loving and loyal beyond belief. She will be greatly missed.
