Obituary of Marie Jeannine Velma Richard

The death of Marie Jeannine Velma Richard of Minto, NB occurred Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at the W. G. Bishop Nursing Home.

Born in Saint Leonard, NB she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Florine (Poirier) Lapointe.

Survived by her son, Paul Richard; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Velma was predeceased by her husband, Frederick J. Richard in 2017; brothers, Lionel, Arthur and Roland Lapointe; sister, M. Ramona Gautreau.

Resting at Hogg Funeral & Cremation Services (10 King Street, Minto, NB) with visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00AM Saturday, October 1st, 2022 from Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Saint Bridget’s Cemetery, Hardwood Ridge, NB. For those who wish, donations made to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
