Obituary of Shirley Doreen MacBeth

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Doreen MacBeth (McKay) of Ripples, NB, surrounded by her family at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Born and raised in Ripples, NB, Shirley was the daughter of the late Leonard and Marjorie (Ackerson) McKay. Shirley was a devoted wife to her husband Leonard, and they were happily married for 63 years.

She was a strong woman of faith, loved her family passionately and enjoyed making her homemade rolls for them all. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and many that knew her claimed her as their own. If you knew her, you loved her.

In addition to the love of her life, she is survived by her daughter, Charlene (Tim) Peterson, sons Wayne (Bethany) and Sheldon (Danielle); grandchildren, Joel, Josh, Corey (Ashley), Adam (Tyler), Taylor (Colton), Jordan and Delaney; great-grandchildren, Josie, Liam, Lena, Beau, Kohl and Rhys; special nephew, Talmadge Corney.

Shirley was predeceased by her beloved sister and best friend, Beverley Corney.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Palliative Care Unit for their kind and compassionate care.

Visitation will be held at Ripples United Pentecostal Church (548 route 670) on Thursday, March 30th at 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Friday, March 31st at 2pm.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Shirley, the family has suggested the Ripples Community Cemetery or the Ladies Ministries Global Student Fund.
