Obituary of Elizabeth Gertrude Day

The death of Elizabeth Gertrude Day of Chipman, NB occurred Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Chipman, NB she was the daughter and last surviving member of 18 children to the late Gordon and Laura (Bishop) Day. Liz loved the outdoors having a passion for hunting, fishing and curling. She also enjoyed a good game of bingo. Survived by special niece, Heidi Northrup (Dave); special nephew, Jay Buchanan (Rachel); sister in law, Mary Day; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many great friends. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by sisters, Mildred Stevenson, Greta Bussey, Marion Ryan, Agnes Smith, Doris Campbell, Marlene Buchanan, Phyllis Hanley and Lorna Valentinsen; brothers, Malcolm, Amos, Roland and Clifford Day. Resting at the Second United Baptist Church, Chipman, NB on Wednesday where the family will be available from 10:00 until 12:00 noon. followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00PM Wednesday, March 4th, 2020. Interment will take place in the Second United Baptist Cemetery, Chipman at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to the Second United Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
