Obituary of George Robert Thompson

The death of George Robert Thompson of Hardwood Ridge, NB occurred Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital.

Born in Dalhousie, NB he was the son of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Martin) Thompson.

Survived by sons, John (Louise), Allen and Leslie Thompson; daughters, Rose Ann Thompson all of Hardwood Ridge and Deborah Howard (John) of Carstairs, AB; grandchildren, Bobbie Jo, Lesley Ann, Christopher, Craig and Bradley; great grandchildren, Alexandra, Dawson, Logan, Terence, Caleb, Patrick, Chloe, Vincent, Zachary, Piper, Maddie, Declin, Ryleigh and Daxton; sister Gladys Sayer; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his wife Hazel (McAllister) Thompson; daughter, Laura Lee Thompson; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, William, Sydney, Howard, Ernest, Thomas, Ronald and Manford; sisters, Frances Hill, Violet Demmons and Goldie Dickie.

Resting at Hogg Funeral & Cremation Services 10 King Street, Minto, NB with visitation on Sunday evening from 6-8pm. Funeral Service will take place 1:00PM Monday, May 20, 2024 from Minto Community Chapel. Interment will take place in Redbank United Church Cemetery, Chipman, NB. For those who wish donations made to the Minlac Training Program or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
