Obituary of Neale Osborne Kilfillen
Woody passed away suddenly at the Dr. Everett Chamers Hospital on Monday, September 23, 2024.
Neale was born in Minto on July 11,1960 to Murray Kilfillen and Merle Kilfillen (Thompson)
Woody is survived by brothers; Gary (Margot), Darryl and Rick (Pat); sisters, Carol Copeland (Cliff), Darlene Spencer (Gary) and Nila Perry (Allan); several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Neale was predeceased by his mom and dad, Merle and Murray; brothers, Robin, Eldon and his wife Judy and sister, Shirley.
Neale was known to everyone as Woody. He loved to chop firewood, fish and play darts and go four wheeling with his best buddy Rick. You could always see Woody walking down to the Salmon Creek Convenience Store to get his lotto tickets, and on the way back would stop and chat with his neighbours Silas and Morris. Woody was always friendly to everyone he met.
Woody Worked at Grand Lake Timber, then he looked after mom, always by her side until her passing.
Woody’s last gesture to this world was to donate his eyes so that someone else may see the beauty in this world.
In keeping with Woody’s wishes, no visitation or funeral service. A private gathering will take place at a later date.
