Obituary of Steven Lee Arsenault

With heavy hearts, the family of Steven Lee Arsenault announce his passing on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at his home in Fredericton, NB with family by his side.

Born on chilly day in February he was the son of the late Howard and Audrey (Steen) Arsenault.

Steven will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Donna (Harris) Arsenault; Son, Trevor H.J. Arsenault (Mayte); daughter, Paula L. Buyting (Andy); grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Leah and Carter; brother, Roderick Arsenault (Mona); several cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.

A retired Credit Manager from John Deere, Steven was a community member who gave his time as a past member of the Barkers Point Lions Club and Northside Co-op. He will be remembered fondly for his love of golf, his passion for fishing, the thrill of riding his motorcycle, and his commitment to attending his grandson’s hockey games. Steven was also a familiar and beloved presence among the residents of the Station House, where he enjoyed many warm and friendly conversations.

In addition to his parents, Steven was predeceased by his brother, Howard Wayne Arsenault.

Funeral Service will take place, 11:00AM Thursday, November, 7 2024 from St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Our Lady of Peace Parish (603 Union St, Fredericton, NB E3A 3N5) with (12:00 pm) reception to follow. Interment at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Steven’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at DECH for their compassionate care, and to the Fredericton Extra Mural team for their continued support through Steven’s journey.

Steven’s legacy of warmth, humor, and love for life will be dearly missed but forever cherished by those who knew him.
