Obituary of Darlene Loyce Greenough
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Darlene (Gilbert) Greenough on January 8, 2025 at her residence in Gibbons, Alberta with her beloved Jaeger by her side.
The love of Darlene's life was her dog, Jaeger. She enjoyed riding her motorbike until her health no longer allowed it. The rest of her time was spent working, shopping and doing renovations on her home.
Darlene is survived by her mother, Geraldine Gallant and stepfather Murray Gallant; brother, George (Tracey) Gilbert; sisters, Karen (Sheldon) Scribner, Sharon (Steven) Wright; nieces, Alisha (Brandon) Parrill, Ashley Gilbert (Jordan Stewart), Jerica Scribner; nephews, Cody (Brittany Copeland) Gilbert and Brody Scribner; great nieces Lainey Parrill and Layla Stewart; step daughter, Melanie (Nathan) Gallant and her children, Mylee and Tenley.
She was predeceased by her father, Gerald Gilbert; brother, Jerry Gilbert; step sister, Carol Davies; great niece, Lydia Stewart; grandparents, King & Evelyn Gilbert; Laurie & Loyce LeBlanc and step grandparents, Nora & Jerry Gallant as well as several aunts and uncles.
The family would like to say a huge thank you to Paul, Thelma and Lisa for all your help during this difficult time. Darlene was very lucky to have such amazing friends like you.

Darlene's family wishes to inform you that a funeral service to honor her life will be held at a later date, once her remains have returned home.
