Obituary of Geraldine Chase

The death of Geraldine “Gerry” Marion Chase of Minto, NB occurred Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the WG Bishop Nursing Home. Born in Minto, NB she was the daughter of the late Roy and Martha (Langin) Yeamans. Gerry was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church and ACW. She volunteered at the W G Bishop Nursing Home and also served on the board of Service to Seniors. Her family were her world, she enjoyed her crafts, knitting, the lake, cooking and baking and was well know for her biscuits and coconut cream pie. Gerry was a well know fixture at Penny’s Lunch Canteen. Survived by son, Tim Chase (Lynn); daughters, Penny Chase (Rob Stennick), Dorothy O’Rourke, Robyn Cormier (Gerald) and Kelly Van Doren (Bernie); 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; 2 chosen grandchildren; brothers, Kendall Yeamans (Barb) and Daniel Yeamans (Elaine); sister-in -law, Isabel Yeamans; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Gerry was predeceased by husband, Junior (Vernon) Chase; son in law, David O’Rourke; brothers, Donald and George Yeamans. Due to the current public advisory with regard to Covid-19 and gatherings, there will be a memorial service at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to the MEMS or MMHS Breakfast Program would be appreciated by the family.
