Obituary of Lorna Margaret MacFarlane

The death of Lorna Margaret MacFarlane of Scotchtown, NB occurred Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 at the Chalmer’s Regional Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB she was the daughter of the late George and Hazel Kerr. Lorna taught school in the Minto area in her earlier years and was the organist at the Scotchtown United Church for over 70 years, she was a gifted painter, quilt maker and world traveler. Her only fault was the gift of over giving. Survived by her husband, Carle W. MacFarlane; a son, Charles (Shirley) of Perth Andover, NB; a sister, Georgie Pollard of Dartmouth. In addition to her parents, Lorna was predeceased by a sister, Betty and Jean; brothers, Bill, Tom and Bing. Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto, NB) with visiting on Wednesday from 1 – 5pm. Funeral Service will be held 3:00PM Thursday, February 27th, 2014 at the Scotchtown United Church. For those who wish, donations made to the DECH, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
