Obituary of Muriel Elizabeth Fulton
Muriel Elizabeth (Corey) Fulton passed away at the Oromocto Hospital at the age of 93, Born December 19th, 1920.
Her siblings called her “Midge”
Daughter of the late Harry and Stella (Pearson) Corey
Survived by 4 Children; sons, Gene, Bobby (Sheila); daughters, Brenda (Richard) Morrell, Kathy Pitre; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; one brother ,Howard (Carol Ann) of Minto; two sisters, Marion Crossman of Moncton, Lorna Corey of Mill Cove; Sister in law, Ann and Carlene, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by husband Bertram; brothers, Earl Corey, Garnet Corey; Daughter in law, Linda (MacBeth); son in law, John Pitre.
Muriel was a telephone switchboard operator and the Post Mistress at Ripples for many years. She also worked at the Fort Naskwaak Motel in Fredericton. In 1944 she was also responsible for the recapture of two escaped prisoners from the B70 Ripples Interment Camp.
To her wishes, a private Funeral will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you made donations to the charity of your choice or Ripples Community Cemetery fund would be appreciated.
