Obituary of Ronald Claude Barton

The death of Ronald Claude Barton of Minto, NB occurred Thursday, March 05, 2015 at the Veterans Health Unit, Fredericton, NB. Born in Derbyshire, England he was the son of the late Claude and Effie (Hardon) Barton. He worked in the Minto coal mines and he served overseas during WWII in the Carleton York Regiment. Survived by a son, Eugene Barton (Glenna) of Alberta; daughters, Sharon Miller of Fredericton, NB and Buda Courser (Roy) of Saint John, NB; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Carr of Minto, NB and Pearl Hoyt of Rothesay; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by his wife, Doris Barton; brothers, George and Norman Barton; sister, Hazel Barton. Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto, NB) with visitation on Sunday from 2-6. Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Monday, March 9, 2015 from the Bethel Baptist Church, Minto, NB. Interment will take place in the Newcastle Creek Cemetery Ext. at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to the Bethel Baptist Church of Minto where he was a member or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
