Frederick London

Obituary of Frederick Gardiner London

The death of Frederick Gardiner London occurred peacefully at his home in Kenora, Ontario on July 31, 2020. Born in Minto, Fred was the son of Winifred London and the late Gardiner London of Newcastle Centre, NB. Fred spent the last forty years living in Kenora and working in Kenora and Fort McMurry as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed working in his garden, making pickles, and going fishing with his sons, Scott and Mark. He loved big dogs and always had at least one. His 3 children were his pride and joy, along with his special grandson, Tanner, who arrived in Feb., making Fred’s last few months a very special time. Fred made friends wherever he went, and we have appreciated hearing from many of these people, from near and far, in recent weeks. Besides his mother, he is survived by daughter Jennifer Allison (Danny) of Rainy River, Ontario, sons Scott London (Kerry) and Mark London, both of Kenora, Ont, grandchildren, Tailir, Brooklyn, Kodi and Tanner; one brother Eric (Norma) of Kelowna, BC; sisters Helen Cherry (Bob), Arnprior, Ontario, Beverley London (Ted) of Newcastle Centre and Shirley Betts (Wayne), of Moncton, as well as several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will take place 1:00PM Sunday, September 20th, 2020 from the Newcastle Creek Cemetery Extension. In keeping with COVID-19 restrictions, please wear a mask within the cemetery and respect social distancing. www.hoggfunerals.ca
