Bradley, Darren and your entire family.......I can hardly express how shocked and saddened I am. Colin would feel terrible as well, but now they can tell their stories together...along with your Mom, my dear friend Bev. We always thought of your Dad as a “good head”, from our MtA days and which is a great compliment from our generation. You all take care.....keep those memories close! Love and hugs, Barb Cameron

I've known Mike since I was just a little girl. Mike worked with my step-dad Jack at the fish hatchery in Flowers Cove. It was a pleasure knowing him. He was always super friendly when he seen me out and about even as an adult. You are in our thoughts and prayers. My sincere condolences to you and your family

Oh Calabrese family...we share your surprise and sorry.
Mike was a happy and valuable part of our summers at Grand Lake. His kindnesses included borrowing cooking ingredients, using his internet, storing our boat, answering lake area questions, and more....and of course...picking lovely wild blueberries in his field...with the deer. We will so miss our chats on the back deck.
We pray that your memories of good times with Mike will help ease the pain.

Darren met you at the airport as you shared all of your stories of your photographs of the Blue Jays with my two boys. Your mom was my favourite teacher and I got to know your dad a bit at the Pines playing golf when I was home from the cottage. He was always so genuine to okay golf with and what a great putter. Grand Lake and all of us will miss him. Please pass along condolences to all of the family. Mark Welton

Michael was my Atlantic Father, even taking my Father under his wing during trips east. My friendship with Darren has blossomed into a Brotherhood all thanks to Mike and Bev, together again. Love always.

So shocked and saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I had the pleasure of growing up with the Calabrese's as their weekly babysitter while they had their date night at bowling. Always felt a part of their family and know how much Mike will be missed by the entire Douglas Harbour community. Sending my love to Bradley & Darren and their families during this sad time. Hugs!
