Obituary of Margaret C. Cole
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Cecelia (Donahee) Cole of Sypher Cove , Grand Lake, NB. on Sunday, May 29, 2016. Born January 6, 1934. She was one of 12 children born to Joseph and Vera (Taylor) Donahee and grew up in Marysville, NB.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Harry O. Cole and siblings Gerald, Hazel, Samuel, Muriel, Thomas, Harold (Fred), Charles (Dick), Stanley, Faith, Marie and Phyllis Dawn.
Harry and Marg were married in Marysville in Feb of 1952 and resided in Minto where Harry was employed with NB Power. They were affiliated with the United Church, where Marg taught Sunday School and was a loved leader of C.G.I.T. and a UCW member for years and OES Remembrance chapter #30. Marg worked at Zellers in Fredericton prior to her marriage and in Minto worked for a bit at Paul’s Clothing Store. Marg decided to devote her life to raising her children and was Loved by many of her children’s school friends who affectionately called her Mom Cole.
Marg is survived by her children; Susan (Don) Veysey, Nancy (Dwight) Emberley and son Tom (Donalda) Cole; grandchildren, Christopher (Kari) Kennedy, Jamie (Michelle) Emberley, Kyle (Emily) Emberley, Curtis, Catherine and Cailey Cole, great grandchildren; Andrew Kennedy and Gauge and Gunar Emberley.
Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto) with visiting on Wednesday evening from 6-9pm. Funeral Service will take place 2:00PM Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 from Trinity United Church. In Lieu of flowers, donations made to the Trinity United Church or Scotchtown Cemetery would be appreciated by the family. Interment will take place in Scotchtown Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, Christopher, Jamie, Kyle, Curtis, Catherine and Cailey.
