Obituary of Vivian Bernice Greer

Vivian Bernice Greer passed away peacefully with family by her side at York Care Centre on Sunday, June 05, 2016. Born in Ripples, NB she was the daughter of the late Rupert and Ethel (Lunergan) Post. Vivian loved her family enjoyed all of her grandchildren was a nursing assistant at the Minto Hospital for many years, she was a member of the United Church and enjoyed her bible study and her faith. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting and quilting. Survived by the children; Edith Corbett (Francis) of Fredericton, Dwight Greer of Chipman, Robina Hill (Bob) of Winnipeg and Duane Greer (Helen) of Noonan; sisters, Robena Woodworth (Allan) of Fredericton and Flora Atyeo (Walter) of Clarks Corner; grandchildren, Wesley (Laura), Kate (Joshua), Scott (Laura), Amanda (James), Kimberley (John), Dawn (Joseph), Barbara (Dave), Sharleen (Howie), Tara Beth, Bradley (Ange), Tammy, Linwood (Sandie), Troy (Angie), Mary Jane (John), Clarence “CJ”, Sarah (Pat); 26 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Vivian was predeceased by her husband Clarence Greer in 1989; a brother, Ralph Post; a sister, Laura Young. Thank you to Dr's, nurses and staff of York Care Centre for the wonderful care given to our mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held 10:00AM Friday, June 10, 2016 from Scotchtown United Church. Interment will take place in Ripples Community Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to the York Care (Birch Grove) Alzheimer’s Unit would be appreciated by the family.
