Obituary of Gordon Donald Bishop

Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on Thursday, October 14th 2010 in his 70th year. Gordon served as a member of the CAF for 33 years and enjoyed his time as a member of the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. He especially enjoyed the 3 years he spent in support of the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Canadian Regiment in Gagetown, New Brunswick. Beloved Husband (of 48 years) of Flora (nee: Knight)Loving Father of Donald (Julie) of Chilliwack, Catherine of Barrie, Kimberly (Jacques) of Barrie and William (Gloria) of Stratford.Cherished Grandfather of Angelique, Galen and Rhiana. Dear Brother of Keith (Vesta), Cordell (Janice) and Marquerite. Sadly missed by Aunts Anne McLellan and Vivian McLellan of New Brunswick,and Nieces Pamela, Vanessa and Leslie. Predeceased by his Parents, Dean, Ruth and stepmother Ethel.Sister Catherine Ann and Brother James.Son Douglas and Grandson Johnathan. Gordon will be sadly missed and always remembered by his many relatives and friends. Friends may pay their respects at THE STEVEN R. BRIDGE FUNERAL HOME, ANGUS, ONTARIO Monday, October 18th 2010 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Funeral service will be held at Trinity Chapel-CFB Borden (499 Dieppe Rd) on Tuesday, October 19th 2010 at 2:00pm. Cremation immediately following.
