Obituary of Eileen Roper Cormier
The death of Eileen Roper Cormier, formerly of Chipman and Minto, occurred November 30th, 2010 at the Red Deer Hospital at the age of 91 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Marguerite Clark, Cindy Martin (Joe) both of Red Deer, Gloria Sanderson (Bob) of Calgary; her sons, Ernest of Red Deer and Byron of Cobble Hill, BC; 11 Grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary day and Julie Robinson both of Chipman; brothers, Nat, Michael (Peggy), Harold and Tom all of cape Breton; a godson , father jake and many nieces ansd nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Elaine (1958), her first husband, Prescott Roper (1972), her second husband, Albert Cormier (2002), a son-in-law, Wynn Clark (1996), daughter-in-law, Mabel Roper (2009), two brothers, Bernie and George and a sister, Lucy.
Eileen was a devoted Catholic and an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion in both Chipman and Minto for many years.
A funeral service will be celebrated 9:00 AM, Thursday, August 4th, 2011 at the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Minto with interment following in the Redbank United Church Cemetery, Chipman, NB. For those who wish, donations made to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
