Obituary of Marion Elizabeth Lucas

With great sadness, the family announces the passing of their loving, caring mother, Marion Elizabeth Lucas of Chipman, NB occurred Thursday, January 24, 2013 at York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton. Born in Sackville, NB she was the daughter of the late Morley and Dorothy (Day) Barnes. Survived by sons, Jack (Joanne) of Sussex, NB and Kevin (Darlene) of Keswick Ridge, NB; daughters, Patricia Lucas-Golden (Hollis) of Fredericton, NB and Colleen Brown (Paul) of Chipman, NB; 7 grandchildren, Melanie Amos (Scott), Lesley Irvine (Scott), Jillian Young (Todd), Amanda Carr (Joe), Kristina Robinson (Bill), Michael Lucas and Kelsey Glode (Colin); 9 great grandchildren, Logan, Jacob, Mackenzie, Alex, Madison, Emily, Peyton , Brayden and Natalya; a sister, Dorothy Henderson of California; sister in law, Margaret Lucas of Sussex Corner, NB as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband Frank W. Lucas; a brother, Jack Barnes and a sister, Ena Johnston Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (43 Main Street, Chipman, NB) with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00AM Saturday, January 26th, 2013 from Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Chipman, NB. Interment will take place in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Chipman, NB at a later date. For those who wish, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
