Obituary of Rev. George Wilson Corney

The peaceful passing of Rev. George Wilson Corney Sr of Noonan, NB occurred Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Hospice House Fredericton.

Born in Blackville, NB November 30, 1928 he was the son of the late Paige and Isabel (Walls) Corney.

Rev. Corney was an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International since 1953 and pastored several churches throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. 

Survived by his loving wife Beverly (McKay) Corney; a son, Talmadge; a foster daughter, Grace Morehouse; a brother, Hayward Corney (Phyl); daughter in law Connie Corney and son in law Leroy Coughlan (Doris); 7 grandchildren, Craig (Renee), Christina (Chris), Heidi, Jayelle (Cody), Brittany, Jasmine (Travis) and Bonnie (Tim); great grandchildren, Hudson, Declan, Izabella, Jacob, and Meagan (Montana); sister-in-laws, Shirley McBeth (Leonard), Lois Corney; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Rev. Corney was predeceased by his 1st wife, Ruth (Greene) Corney; sons Coleman and  George Jr.; daughter Anna Mae; brothers Hubert and Paige Jr; sisters Shirley, Betty; and the triplets Eric, Esma, and Erma (deceased at birth).

Due to current restrictions, a Graveside Funeral Service will be scheduled at a later date at the Ripples Community Cemetery in Ripples, NB.
