Obituary of Sharon Ann Drost

With great sadness, the family of Sharon Ann Drost of Chipman, NB announces her passing, on Sunday, August 1st, 2021 at Hospice House Fredericton at the age of 75 years.

Sharon was born in Holtville, N.B. to the late Margaret (Black) Lyons on May 16, 1946 where she was raised along with 7 siblings by her mother and step-father, Walter Lyons. 

Sharon loved spending time creating quilts or knitting for her family and community. Her children and grandchildren grew up wearing mittens and hats she lovingly made for them each winter. Another favourite pastime was travelling the countryside. She spent many years of her life exploring new places with her husband and children. 

Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her children, Kenneth (Adrien); daughters, Heather Henderson (Fred), Tracey McGinley (Kevin) and Heidi Sullivan (Scott); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Darrell Lyons (Lesley) and Will Lyons (Petra); sisters, Sereta Hinchey, Nancy Gorman (Gerald); several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her loving husband, Kenneth L. Drost in 2016; brothers, Gilbert and Steven; sister, Betty Moore.

A Funeral Service for family will take place Thursday, August 5th, 2021 at the Second United Baptist Church, Chipman, NB. Interment will take place in the Second United Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish, donations can be made to the Fredericton Hospice House or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
