Obituary of Louie Wuhr

Surrounded by his family and friends, the peaceful passing of Louie Wuhr of Minto, NB occurred Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Woodland,, Maine he was the son of the late Mary Wuhr; raised by Barbara (momma) and Wolfgang Wuhr (grandfather). Louie was a kind and gentle soul who was a legend for his skate sharpening. He was his happiest in his auto body shop and with the love shared by his family and friends. He was a member of the Minto Fire Dept. for over 50 years; one of the longest honorary members of the Royal Canadian Legion in the province of NB. Survived by a son, Johnny Wuhr (Louise); daughters, Diane Tower (Dave) and Barbara Boudreault (Bernie); 4 grandchildren, Jamie Wuhr (Heather), Dustin Tower (Tam), Jonathan Tower (Michelle), Chelsey Boudreault and Pam Shannon; 4 great grandchildren, Taylor, Abbi, Cooper and Bensen Louie; special friends, Lorraine, Bill and Gloria; many special nieces, nephews,cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Louie was predeceased by his wife Phyllis (Price) Wuhr; chosen family, Barbara, Mathias, Margaret, Wilfred, Louie and Wally. Resting at Hogg Funeral Services (10 King Street, Minto) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Friday, July 29, 2016 from Trinity United Church, Minto, NB. Interment will take place in the United Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to the Minto Fire Department or the Oromocto Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
