Obituary of Andrew David Fila
It is with great sadness that the family of Andrew David Fila announce his passing on Friday, April 19th, 2024, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB.
Born on Tuesday, April 6th, 1954 in Minto, NB he was the son of the late Andrew Szonyi and Madeline Fila.
Andrew is survived by his daughters, Amanda (Charles) and Meg (Phillip); son, Jarret; chosen son, Charles; granddaughter, Adaline; brother, John Fila Sr. (Geraldine); several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Darlena (Thibodeau) Fila; his brother, Louie Fila and his sister, Mary Richard.
Resting at Hogg Funeral & Cremation Services (10 King Street, Minto, NB) with visitation on Friday, April 26th from 5:00PM-8:00PM. A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
For those who wish, donations made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to the Lung Association of New Brunswick in Andrew’s memory would be appreciated by his family.
