We were so sorry to hear of Ann's passing. To all her family we send our deepest sympathies. She was loved and will be missed by so many. I will miss our phone calls, she loved to remember and talk about the past and shared so many of her memories with me.
She often talked about how much she missed Henry after his passing and hopefully you will be able to take comfort in the fact that they are together again.

My sincere condolences to the family of Mrs. Annie Goguen. I am sure the wonderful characteristics she possessed as a teacher also made her a one-of-a-kind mother and grandmother. She was kind and compassionate. Calmly persistent. She set and modelled high standards and then helped us learn the steps we needed to take to achieve them. She expected us to do our best and take pride in our work. Not only did she impact her students, but her professionalism set a standard for new and aspiring teachers. Those of us who were fortunate enough to know her or have been taught by her will never forget her.

Karl and Eddie,
Please accept our sincere condolences in the passing of your beautiful Mom.
She certainly left a footprint in her time.
Well known as the best teacher any child could have had, she always had time to stop and chat.
Her kindness was beyond measure.
I always loved to meet her on my daily walks, she always filled my heart with hope.
Her beautiful smile will stay with me always.
R.I.P. Annie

Thank you for your wonderful comments about Mom. She did love talking to everyone she knew.
Holding her hand she drew her last breath was a blessing. If death can be beautiful she certainly had one.....I could feel the room flood with a swirl of energy as she made the leap...It was an honour to be there for that experience....Death is never to be feared.

Hello Karl and Ed,
Sorry to read of your Mum's passing. She and Mrs. Van Doorselaere are among my fond memories of going to school in Minto.
It was also pleasant to visit both your parents at Printz Cove and pick some berries.

Ed & Karl and families. Offering our sympathy and condolences to you on the loss of mother. Mrs. Goguen was certainly special. Brian has great memories, back many, many years, as she taught him in grade 5, and she never forgot that he was "one of her students". Over the years, it was such a great pleasure to meet and talk with her. She was so soft spoken and we will never forget her smile. Our thoughts and prayers are with you family.

Taunya and family,
So sorry for your loss. Mrs. Goguen was a beautiful person inside and out. I have fond memories of her from my junior high school days and how she always greeted us with her BIG warm heartfelt smile. She was always so calm and could bring our sometimes chaotic teenage class to order very quickly, she was a great teacher.
Thinking of you all not only today but, in the days ahead.

To The Family: I had the pleasure of many visits to Mrs. Goguen's home. She was always so friendly and we had lots of wonderful chats. She was so excited that her son/daughter-in-law were moving close by. Actually the last time I saw Mrs. Goguen, her granddaughter from Quebec was home and when I was leaving, the power company was coming with the new poles for the new home and Mrs. Goguen was so happy that this was happening. She was so appreciative of everything her family did for her and was always giving me an update as to what everyone was doing. She loved her home and her community and I will forever remember her and that beautiful smile. She was one of my favourite customers. I lost my Mother on January 27th of this year and I am sure that the two of them are in Heaven having a great chat! Thinking of you all at this very sad time.
Sincerely,
Maria Pugh

I taught my second year at North Minto Junior High and it was truly an honour to teach with Annie. She was one of the "old school" teachers whom we young ones admired for their skill and professionalism. She also taught me abut her Polish heritage. We remained in contact at Christmas every year with cards. Her passing is a great loss for us all. I am so very sorry for your loss.

To Annie's family,
I had the priviledge of working with your beloved Annie at Minto Elementary School. She told me early on that she grew up with my father Leo Boucher and they were playmates as youngsters.
Annie was a remarkable teacher and I learned so much from her. Her kindness, grace, dedication and work ethic was genuinely admired by all.
We were suppose to get together and then covid hit. I feel so bad that we were unable to meet.
I pray the wonderful memories you have assist you during these difficult days ahead. She will always be remembered very fondly by myself and my husband a former student. (Marcel Richard)

Carl, Jeannine and family, please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of one of the sweetest, kindest teachers ever. I will never forget being in Mrs. Goguen's grade 4 class at Major Willard Parker Memorial school.. Being in her class was wonderful, she knew how to make a child feel welcomed and eager to learn, with her kind caring way. As an adult it made my day, if I happened to meet her out and about and we would have a conversation. She never changed, she remained the very same, such a beautiful lady. I am sincerely sorry for your loss.
